    Liberty Global to sell Austria unit to T-Mobile Austria

    Cable group Liberty Global Plc (LBTYA) said on Thursday it would sell its UPC Austria unit to Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile Austria for an enterprise value of 1.9 billion euros. Liberty Global (LBTYA) will provide certain transitional services for a period of up to four years, mainly network and information technology-related functions, and allow T-Mobile Austria to use the UPC brand for up to three years, it said.

    Liberty Global in talks to sell Austrian unit to Deutsche Telekom-FT

    International cable company Liberty Global (LBTYA) is in advanced talks to sell its Austrian unit UPC Austria to Deutsche Telekom in a deal worth about $2 billion, the Financial Times said on Thursday. A deal could be reached in the coming days, the paper said.
